Meghalaya State Higher Education Council
The Meghalaya State Higher Education Council was established under the Meghalaya State Higher Education Council Act, 2018, as a strategic body to strengthen and harmonize the higher education ecosystem in the state. It serves as a collective platform comprising the Government, Universities, Colleges, Academicians, and Experts, aimed at fostering academic collaboration, policy coordination, and quality enhancement. By bridging the gap between the State Government and apex regulatory bodies, MSHEC plays a pivotal role in planning, advising, and facilitating the development of higher education in Meghalaya.
